Ten-year-old Bay Melnick Virgolino from New York City showed that age is no barrier to chasing big dreams. The young guitarist walked onto the America’s Got Talent stage with an oversized guitar and the confidence of a much more experienced performer, quickly winning over the audience.
Before his audition, Bay admitted he had “good nerves,” but his love for music was impossible to miss. He started playing guitar at just five years old after becoming inspired by Guns N’ Roses legend Slash. His parents, whom he affectionately calls his “roadies,” were backstage supporting him as he prepared for one of the biggest performances of his young life.
As soon as the music began, Bay took complete control of the stage. His performance featured energetic vocals, impressive guitar riffs, and the unmistakable attitude of a young rock star. He wasn’t simply performing a song—he was clearly having fun and embracing every moment in front of the judges and live audience.
The crowd quickly responded with enthusiastic cheers and applause, with audience members getting to their feet. The judges were also impressed by Bay’s confidence, musical ability, and natural stage presence.
Mel B praised the energy and emotion he brought to the performance, while Heidi Klum called him one of the coolest kids she had ever met and described him as a “little mini tiny little superstar.” Howie Mandel also highlighted the audience’s reaction, making it clear that Bay had made a strong impression.
