13-Year-Old Singer Delivers an Unforgettable “Tears of Gold” Performance

Daneliya Tuleshova was only 13 when she stepped onto the America’s Got Talent stage in 2020, but her performance quickly proved that age does not determine emotional depth. With a calm presence and remarkable confidence, the young singer began performing “Tears of Gold,” a powerful song originally recorded by Faouzia. Within moments, the atmosphere in the theater changed as Daneliya’s voice filled the room.

Her performance combined impressive vocal control with an emotional intensity that surprised both the judges and the audience. As she moved through the song’s most demanding moments, the judges watched closely before erupting into applause. Her ability to communicate heartbreak, strength, and vulnerability made the audition feel far bigger than a typical talent-show performance. Many viewers watching at home felt the same way, helping the audition attract millions of views online.

Daneliya was already an accomplished performer before appearing on AGT. She had won The Voice Kids Ukraine, represented Kazakhstan at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest, and competed on The World’s Best. During her AGT journey, she continued to impress with performances including Jessie J’s “Who You Are” and Sia’s “Alive.” Although she did not win the competition, she finished in sixth place, giving her an international platform and a much larger audience.

Since AGT, Daneliya has continued developing as an artist, releasing original music and growing into a more mature performer. Her journey demonstrates that success is not always measured by a trophy or a golden buzzer. Sometimes, it is about creating a performance people remember long after the stage lights fade. Her “Tears of Gold” audition remains one of those moments—a powerful reminder of how music can connect people across generations and borders.
